Why does a house show a period and not an exact year?

For many older houses the register gives a date entered in bulk, such as the same day for a whole municipality. Such a date looks exact but is not, so baseray shows it as a period.

Is the year of occupancy approval the same as the year built?

The year built is usually taken to be the year of completion, that is, of the occupancy approval (kolaudace). Building may have started several years earlier, and the house may have been renovated later.

Can I find the year built in the cadastre?

No. The cadastre records plots, buildings and owners. The completion date is recorded, for some buildings, by the RÚIAN register.
